Blue class 2018
Cramlington and Seaton Valley school games gymnastics competition
In February, six children from blue class took part in the Cramlington and Seaton Valley gymnastics competition at Northburn Gym. We were also joined by Jacob Dowson, Mr and Mrs Dowson's son.
The children had to perform two routines which Mr Dowson taught them in PE lessons. They all did a brilliant job.
This was the first time we entered the competition and we all really enjoyed it. The team came 5th out of 9 schools taking part- AMAZING.
In addition to this, our team was awarded the school games values award for demonstrating the school games values- team work, self-belief, passion, determination, honesty and respect. Well done to our team- Daniel, Jacob, Jessica, John, Kaydan, Olivia and Poppy,
In October, the children in Key Stage 2 enjoyed their science week all about healthy eating and the 'Eat-well' plate
Key Stage 2 completed their first ever open ended topic homework this term. They worked over three weeks - the week before half term, during half term and the week after. Children were set an open ended task to make, draw or write about an aspect of the Stone Age that they were particularly interested in. Here are their magnificent contributions to our very informative museum.
Back in September, the Year 4 children from Blue class enjoyed a brilliant trip to Dukeshouse Wood. They worked together, challenged themselves and developed their independence over the two days.
